Your information is yours.
Where does the information come from, and what is stored? A clear explanation of how Astrotor works.
Back to homeWhere does the data come from?
Public IP and approximate location are read from the Cloudflare network receiving your request. They are not sent to another IP lookup service. Browser, screen, language and hardware details are calculated on your device.
What does the application store?
There are no user accounts or lookup database. Your theme preference is stored locally on your device. Reports and QR codes are generated in your browser. We do not include your QR content or uploaded logos in analytics events.
Advertisements
The live site displays Google AdSense ads. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads and measure performance. Ad requests may include device, browser and visit information. We do not add QR contents or uploaded logos to ad code. Advertising code does not load on local or preview addresses.
Usage measurement
We use Google Analytics (G-M98MFTLN30) to understand site usage. Google may process information such as page visits, device and browser type, referring site and usage events, and may use cookies. Page URL query parameters and fragments are excluded from measurement. Google signals and ad personalization signals are disabled. Analytics does not load in local development.
How accurate is it?
IP location is an approximation. The ASN organization may differ from your retail internet provider. Browser signals can be limited or changed. We do not manufacture definitive results for unsupported information.
Hosting and development
The site runs on Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare processes requests to deliver and secure the service. DNS and blacklist lookups use Cloudflare 1.1.1.1; SpamCop and PSBL queries contain the checked IP in reverse order. The SSL tool connects to the entered domain; selecting certificate logs also sends that domain to crt.sh. The application does not log request bodies or DNS results; infrastructure error and performance records may be retained.
